The Shirataki Sake Process
Shirataki Brewery is surrounded by mountains reaching heights of more than 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) at Echigo Yuzawa, a historic hot spring and ski resort area just over an hour from Tokyo, but also the mountain air and pure water, makes it the perfect home for brewing sake.
With Sake export volume numbers hitting annual records year on year, the brewery have been contributing to it thanks to it’s team putting the focus on overseas markets.
This time, they introduce their process, which would help understand to consumers the reason their sakes have become so popular in the selves of Liquor shops worldwide, and why niigata prefecture sakes are amongst the most appreciated not only in Japan but overseas, due to its purity and craftmanship.
