DURIAN IPA by Sankt Gallen Brewery a Limited release surprising industry again

New Limited Sankt Gallen Durian IPA
Sankt Gallen a microbrewery based in Kanagawa brews and sells many fruit beers using seasonal fruits such as Shonan Gold Orange, Pineapple and Apple amongst many others, but Durian indeed presented a smelly challenge indeed.
This time Sankt Gallen has surprised the whole industry, the fruit chosen is no other than Durian! This fruit is well-known for being the king of fruits in Asia but also for having a rather strong smell, and in some places, it is forbidden to bring it to public places such as hotels and buses, you can guess why.
The spines of Durian are very sharp and hard to hold with bare hands
This IPA is creamy as it also uses 30% wheat malt and oats, to boost the sweet flavour of tropical fruits when durian hits-in, hops selected are made from aromatic varieties of Equanot and Mosaic, which have lots of tropical notes.
Normally, St. Gallen’s fruit beer uses plenty of fruit, on recent, Apple-Cinnamon Ale, currently on sale, uses at least 500 apples per brew batch, but they used only 5 durians for this batch only. The amount of Durian per bottle is about 0.8g. Yet, the presence seems to be outstanding as per Nobuhisa Iwamoto (CEO) said, and the scent drifts-away when the bottle cap is popped out.
