The highly awaited arrival of the New Sake Season will see “Junmai Daiginjo Rita” out for sale very limited
Toshimaya, the oldest sake store in Tokyo, originated when its founder, Toshimaya Juemon, opened a sake store and Izakaya in 1596 at Kamakura Waterfront in central Edo (modern day Tokyo). At that time, large-scale renovations works were being carried out on Edo Castle, so people flocked to Kamakura Waterfront, and Toshimaya thought a Sake Shop was highly needed in the area.
Nowadays, they also have their own sake brewery which is located in Higashi-Murayama City, west Tokyo, where sake, shirozake and mirin (sweet cooking sake) are brewed.
Toshimaya is a Japanese sake brewery that soaked the ancient “Edo” culture with the pristine waters of Mt. Fuji and the glorious lands of Tokyo. With 420 years of ” Toshimaya uses the water lying beneath the soil of Mt. Fuji to brew sake in Tokyo. Now, “RITA” has become the signature sake brand of Toshimaya, and this Junmai Daiginjo Nigori makes its name for it.
Their “Junmai Daiginjo Rita Nigori” will be released from March 18 at Tokyo Kanda’s Sake with just limited to 100 bottles to celebrate the arrival of new sake.
